ARTIST STATEMENT

These prints are reinterpretations of what comes into view in those moments when I stop, look again and refocus on one part of the extraordinary that surrounds me. The work feels like two-dimensional lecture notes taken while phenomenal, sweeping images were flashed on the stage. Visual creativity is a necessary balm, an antidote for the discordant noise and weariness—it is healthy. Art takes me beyond myself and deeply within, simultaneously.
