ABOUT

Tim Michel lives and works in Free Union, Virginia, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He holds a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia. Tim counts, among his many teachers: Karen Silverman, Akemi Ohira, Dean Dass,  Werner Sensback, and Dwight Pogue.

His work is in private, public and corporate collections across the country, including Lafayette College, Virga Ventures LLC, Martha Jefferson Hospital and the University of Virginia Hospital.

Tim has been invited to participate in over twenty group shows and his work has been the subject of four solo shows in the past few years. Artist Residencies have included the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (2009), Amherst, Virginia, Anderson Ranch (2010), Snowmass Village, Colorado and Haystack Mountain School of Craft (2014), Deer Isle, Maine.
